I am Lisa Houchins, new blogger for Natural Living Des Moines, mostly covering topics related to birth, VBAC, and cesarean prevention and recovery.  I am currently the Education Director for ICAN (http://www.ican-online.org/) and a co-leader for ICAN of Central Iowa (http://www.icaniowa.com/).  In my professional life, I was a middle school science teacher and an actuarial analyst, and in 2004, I was promoted to the position of stay-at-home-mom.  I have 3 children who were born by cesarean, CBAC, and VBA2C.
